Frequently Asked Questions:
Q: Why are some colours of sea glass more expensive than other when the design is the same or very similar?
A: While all fragments of sea glass have been hand collected from the beaches of the Mornington Peninsula, pricing is predominantly based on size of glass, level of frosting and rarity of colour. We follow the widely accepted rating scale found in Richard LaMotte’s book, Pure Sea Glass. For example, the more common colours are white, brown and green, while rarer colours are turquoise, pinks and purples, and extremely rare are red, oranges and blacks.
Q: Is it possible to include a piece of sea glass that I have collected into one of your designs?
A: Yes, please email us, as we would be happy to discuss your idea.
